The Twilio integration for ActiveCampaign allows users to easily interact with ActiveCampaign contacts by sending Twilio messages.

Pre-requisites
Must be an ActiveCampaign user.
Must have a Twilio account.
Must have a Twilio WhatsApp number in case of sending WhatsApp messages.
WhatsApp conversations can be initiated using Twilio approved message templates.
Installation
Install Twilio from the ActiveCampaign Marketplace.
Go to any Contact within ActiveCampaign.
Scroll down to access Twilio Chats.
Access the ActiveCampaign settings page from the panel on the left.
Select 'Developer'.
Here you can access the URL and API Key.
Enter the ActiveCampaign credentials.
Click on 'Authorize Now'.
Enter the Twilio credentials.
Authorize Twilio account.
Twilio WhatsApp & SMS has been integrated to ActiveCampaign.
Twilio Chats
Access Twilio Chats within any ActiveCampaign contact.
Select the Twilio sender.
You can now view the Twilio chats held with the ActiveCampaign Contact.
Send messages to the contact.
Click on '/' to access the message templates.
Select and send the template message.
Send Twilio Messages using Workflows
Access 'Automations' from the panel on the left.
Click on 'Create an automation'.
Select 'Start from Scratch'.
Click on 'Continue'.
Select the trigger for the workflow.
Select the conditions.
Click on 'Add Start'.
In order to add the action, select 'CX Apps' from the panel on the left.
Select 'Twilio' extension from the list available.
Enter the 'Ulgebra Account Email'.
Click on 'in this page' below the space provided to access the Ulgebra account email id.
Copy the email id and paste it in the space provided.
Copy the Ulgebra Authtoken.
Paste it in the space provided.
Click on Connect.
Select the Twilio channel to send the automated message from.
Enter the Twilio From number.
Enter the phone field of the recipient under 'To'.
Click on Personalize to select the phone field of the contact.
Enter a default country code if required.
The default country code would be added in case contact numbers do not contain a country code.
Enter the message to be sent under 'Message'.
You can also insert placeholders within the message.
Click on 'Personalize' to select the contact field.
In case you wish to send media templates from Twilio, enter the link to the attachment under Attachment URL.
Click on 'Finish' to save the action.
Click on 'Active' to activate the workflow.
Under Recent Activities within the contact, select 'Automation' from the drop-down.
Here you can view the status of the messages sent via Twilio.
Twilio Inbox
Click on your Ulgbera profile within the application.
Click on Twilio Inbox.
You would now be redirected to the Twilio Inbox containing all the WhatsApp & SMS conversations.
Select any conversation to view the history of chats held with the contact.
Also, send messages to the contact.
Select any Twilio sender to view conversations from a particular Twilio channel.
Search for any contact number to view a specific chat.
You can also initiate Twilio conversations from the inbox.
Message History
Access the Notes section within the contact to view the details of the Twilio messages.
Also, view the updates regarding Twilio messages under the Recent Activities of the contact.
Real-time Notifications
Click on the notifications icon within the application.
Here you can view the unread and read messages which are differentiated.
Message Templates
Create Template
Click on '+New Template'.
Enter the name of the template.
Enter the content within the template.
Include placeholders and emojis if required.
Save the new message template.
Edit Template
Click on the edit icon beside the template.
Make the changes required.
Save the edited template.
Delete Template
Click on the delete icon beside the name of the template in order to delete the message template.
Thus, easily connect with ActiveCampaign contacts through Twilio messages.
