Pre-requisites
Must be a monday.com user
Must have a RingCentral account
Installation
Visit the monday.com Apps Marketplace where you can find the integration RingCentral SMS for monday.com.
Add the extension to your account.
Select the workspace and install the extension in your preferred monday.com workspace.
Access RingCentral SMS Settings within the RingCentral Contacts board.
Enter the monday.com domain.
Click on Authorize Now.
Click on 'Authorize' to authorize your monday.com account.
Click on 'Authorize' to proceed to RingCentral account.
Sign in to the RingCentral account.
Authorize the RingCentral account.
Select 'Incoming events sync' on the extension settings page.
Enable 'Capture incoming messages' to receive RingCentral messages inside monday.com.
Select the monday.com board to which the RingCentral contacts are to be synced.
Select the phone column using which the contact numbers are to be synced.
In case you do not have a phone column, select '+ Create new PHONE column'.
Enter the name of the phone column.
Click on 'Create Column'.
Select the phone column to which the contact numbers are to be added.
Select the monday.com board to which the RingCentral SMS history is to be added for the incoming and outgoing messages.
Applications
RingCentral Contacts
Sync your incoming RingCentral messages and create contacts for non-existing contacts within your preferred board.
Access the RingCentral Contacts board.
Here you can view the contacts created from RingCentral SMS.
Click on the chat icon to view the details of the messages sent and received.
RingCentral SMS History
Receive the history of RingCentral messages sent and received within the RingCentral SMS History board.
Also, view the details of the messages at the board.
RingCentral Chats of a Contact
Access any contact within the monday.com board.
Click on the Add View icon.
Under Installed Apps, you can view RingCentral Chats of a contact.
Click on 'Add to item'.
Select the sender to view the chats from.
You can now view the RingCentral chats held with the particular contact.
Also, send RingCentral messages to the contact.
Click on '/' to access the message templates.
Select and insert any message template if required.
RingCentral Conversations
Board View
Access 'RingCentral Messages' within the RingCentral Contacts board.
You can also add the RingCentral Messages view to any other board if required.
Here you can send RingCentral messages to all the required contacts at once.
Click on 'Choose Sender'.
Select the RingCentral number you wish to send the message from.
Click on 'Add Recipients'.
Search for any contact within to board to be added as a recipient.
Select the contact to add the contact number.
Click on 'Select a Group List'.
You can now view the list of Groups available within the monday.com board.
Select any group to add all the contacts within the group as recipients.
Import the required contact number from an Excel file.
Also, add specific contact numbers.
Select the country code and enter the contact number.
Click on 'Add'.
Enter a default country code.
Select the conditions for the default country code.
Enter the message to be sent to the contacts.
Enter '#' to select any contact field from the board.
Click on 'Templates' to access message templates.
Select and insert the required message template.
Send the RingCentral message to the contacts.
Access the conversation view.
Here you can view all the conversations held with the selected contacts.
Select any conversation to view the history of chats held with the contact.
Send messages to the contacts.
Search for any contact number to view the conversation of a particular contact.
Dashboard View
Add the RingCentral Inbox to your preferred dashboard to access the conversations easily.
Connect the dashboard to the required board.
Click on '+ Add widget'.
Click on '+ Add widget'.
Select 'Apps'.
Under Installed Apps, you can find RingCentral Inbox.
Click on 'Add widget'.
You can now access the RingCentral application within your monday.com dashboard.
Extension Settings
Application Tab
Select 'Open in New Tab'.
You can now access the extension at all times in a separate tab.
RingCentral User Management
Select 'Manage App Users'.
View the list of monday.com users.
Add user to allow users to utilize your RingCentral account.
Remove user to disable the feature for the user.
You can also add all or remove all users.
Application Usage
Select 'App Usage Analytics' to track the usage of the application.
Reset Application
Select 'Reset App Configurations'.
Enter 'confirm' within the space provided.
Click on 'Reset'.
All the data of RingCentral SMS for monday.com would now be deleted.
SMS Senders
Add Sender
From the Choose Sender drop-down, select '+ Add New Sender'.
Select the sender channel as SMS.
Enter the sender id as per RingCentral.
Enter the display name of the sender.
Save the RingCentral SMS sender within the application.
Default Sender
Click on the pin icon beside the name of the sender to select a default sender.
This sender would be selected by default while sending RingCentral SMS.
Hide Sender
Click on the visibility icon beside the name of the sender to hide the RingCentral SMS sender.
Using the visibility icon beside Add New Sender, you can retain or remove the hidden SMS senders from the drop-down.
Delete Sender
Click on the delete icon beside the name of the sender to delete the RingCentral sender.
Message Templates
Create Template
From the Templates drop-down, select 'Add New Template'.
Enter the name of the template to be created.
Enter the content within the template.
Save the message template.
Edit Template
Click on the edit icon beside the name of the template.
Make the changes required.
Save the modified message template.
Delete Template
Click on the delete icon beside the name of the template.
The message template has now been deleted.
