Pre-requisites


Installation


Install Acuity Scheduling for Freshdesk from the Ulgebra Marketplace
  • Enter the Freshdesk domain.

  • Click on the Freshdesk profile.

  • Select 'Profile settings'.

  • Copy the Freshdesk API Key available below 'Your API Key'.

  • Click on Authorize Now.

Applications


Appointments from Tickets


  • Go to any Freshdesk Ticket.

  • Click on the Ulgebra icon.

  • Select Acuity Scheduling.

  • You can now view the list of all the Acuity Scheduling events.

  • Click on 'Book' adjacent to the name of the event you wish to book the appointment using.

  • Go to any Freshdesk contact.

  • Click on the Ulgebra icon.

  • Select the Acuity scheduling application.

  • Select Events History within the application.

  • Access the history of Acuity events within the contact and Ticket.

  • Here you can view the upcoming and past events associated with the respective contact.

Instant Appointments


  • Click on the Ulgebra icon within Freshdesk.

  • Select the Acuity Scheduling application.

Events History


  • Click on 'Events History'.

  • You can view all the Acuity appointments scheduled using the selected event.

Booking Links


  • Select 'Event Links' within the application.

  • Click on Open to access the booking link in a new tab.

  • Click on Copy to share the booking link easily.

  • Receive real-time notifications for Acuity appointments.

  • Get notified at the Ulgebra and Acuity Scheduling icon.

  • Click on the bell icon within the application.

  • Here you can access the latest and viewed appointments which would be differentiated for ease.

User Management (For Freshdesk Admin)


  • Select Manage App Users.

  • You can now view the list of Freshdesk users.

  • Click on Add adjacent to the name of the user to enable the user to use the authorized Acuity Scheduling account of the admin.

  • Click on Remove to disable the user from this feature.

  • You can also Add all or Remove all users.

  • Within the user account, the user must access the settings page.

  • Here they can view the invite sent by the admin.

  • Accept the invite.

Incoming Setup


  • Select 'Incoming events sync'.

Access the incoming settings of Acuity Scheduling for Freshdesk
  • Enable 'Capture incoming events' to receive Acuity appointments into Freshdesk.

  • A new Ticket and associated contact would be created for Acuity appointments booked by non-existing contacts.

  • In case you do not wish for new contacts to be created, enable the option 'Ignore events from NEW customers'.

  • You can view the list of Acuity events available within your Acuity account.

  • Enable the events you wish to receive incoming from and disable the events you do not wish to receive incoming from.

  • Access the integration at all times in a separate tab using the 'Open in New Tab' option.
