Pre-requisites
Must be a user of monday.com
Must have a MessageBird account.
In case of WhatsApp, an approved WhatsApp number would be required.
Approved templates to initiate WhatsApp conversations.
Enable the required MessageBird Channels.
Installation
Visit the monday.com Apps Marketplace.
Here you can find the integration MessageBird WhatsApp, SMS, Viber for monday.com.
Add the extension to your account.
Select the workspace to which the extension is to be added.
Go to the MessageBird Contacts board within the selected monday.com workspace.
Access MessageBird Settings.
Enter the monday.com domain. (Note: monday.com subdomain will be auto-filled, However, you can edit manually.)
Click on 'Authorize Now'.
Authorize monday.com account.
Enter the MessageBird Live Access Key.
Authorize the MessageBird account.
Within the settings page, select 'Incoming events sync'.
Enable capture incoming messages to receive incoming MessageBird messages and contacts into monday.com.
New contacts would be created in monday.com in case of messages received from non-existing contacts.
Select the monday.com board to which the contacts are to be synced.
Sync contacts using their phone number.
Create a phone number column if required.
Select the phone column to which phone numbers are to be added.
Maintain the history of MessageBird messages within monday.com.
Select the MessageBird History board.
In case you do not want new contacts to be created in monday.com, enable the option 'Ignore messages from NEW customers'.
View the list of MessageBird channels available within your account.
Enable the channels from which you wish to receive incoming messages.
Disable the channels from which you do now wish to receive incoming messages.
Applications
MessageBird Contacts
New contacts would be created in MessageBird Contacts for messages from non-existing contacts.
Messages from existing contacts would be synced with the respective contact.
Click on the chat icon to view the details of the message.
Go through the message and details of the message within the contact.
MessageBird History
Access the MessageBird History board where you can view the maintain the history of MessageBird messages sent and received.
Also, view the details of each message on this board.
MessageBird Chats of a Contact
Go to any contact within the monday.com board.
Click on the Add View icon.
Under Installed Apps, you can find the MessageBird view.
Click on 'Add to item'.
Access the 'MessageBird Chats of a Contact'.
Select the MessageBird sender.
You can now view the chats held with the contact using the MessageBird channel.
Send messages to the contact from the chat.
View the read receipts for the messages sent.
Select and insert any message template.
Identify MessageBird approved WhatsApp templates using the 'MessageBird' tag.
MessageBird Inbox
Access the MessageBird conversations using the MessageBird Inbox View. Access the MessageBird Inbox within your preferred board or dashboard of monday.com.
Board View
The MessageBird Inbox would be available in the MessageBird Contacts boards by default.
It can also be added to any required board.
Access the MessageBird Inbox view.
Here you can view all the conversations held through MessageBird.
Select any conversation to view the history of MessageBird chats.
Send messages to contacts and conduct conversations from the MessageBird Inbox.
Send approved WhatsApp templates and message templates to contacts.
Select any MessageBird channel to view all conversations from a particular channel.
Search for any contact number to view the conversation of a specific contact.
Initiate conversations from the MessageBird Inbox.
Dashboard View
Go to any monday.com dashboard.
Connect the dashboard to any board.
Click on 'Add widget'.
Select 'Apps'.
Under Installed Apps, you can access MessageBird Inbox.
Click on 'Add widget'.
You can now access all the MessageBird conversations within the dashboard.
Initiate Conversations
Select the MessageBird sender from which the message is to be sent.
You can initiate conversations using the WhatsApp, SMS & Viber channels.
Click on 'Add Recipients'.
Select the country code and enter the contact number.
Click on 'Add'.
Similarly, you can add multiple contact numbers.
Enter a default country code.
Select the settings for the application of the default country code.
Enter the message to be sent or insert a message template.
Send the MessageBird message to contacts.
Real-time Notifications
Receive in-app notifications for MessageBird incoming messages.
Click on the bell icon within the application to access the notifications.
Extension Settings
Inbox Tab
Select 'MessageBird Inbox' to access the MessageBird conversations at all times in a separate tab.
Application Tab
User Management
Select 'Manage App Users'.
Using this feature, the monday.com admin can enable multiple users to use a shared MessageBird account.
Here you can view the list of monday.com users.
Add the users who would be using your MessageBird account.
Remove users for whom you wish to disable the feature.
Also, add all or remove all users if required.
Application Analytics
Select 'App Usage Analytics'.
Here you can track the usage of MessageBird WhatsApp, SMS, Viber for monday.com.
Desktop Notifications
Allow multiple users to receive desktop notifications for your incoming WhatsApp messages.
Select 'Message Notifications'.
Enter the email id of the user for whom you wish to enable desktop notifications.
Ensure that the user has an Ulgebra account under the entered email id.
Click on 'Add User'.
Copy and share the invite link with the user.
The user must access the link on their browser.
Click on 'Start Receiving notifications on this browser'.
The user would now receive desktop notifications for your incoming MessageBird messages.
Reset Application
Select 'Reset App Configurations'.
Enter 'confirm' within the space provided.
Click on 'Reset'.
All the data of MessageBird WhatsApp, SMS, Viber for monday.com would now be deleted.
MessageBird Sender
Add Sender
From the Choose Sender drop-down, select '+ Add New Sender'.
Select the channel type as SMS, WhatsApp or Viber.
Enter the sender id as per MessageBird.
Enter the display name of the sender.
Save the MessageBird sender.
Default Sender
Click on the pin icon beside the name of the sender.
This sender would be selected by default while sending messages.
Hide Sender
Click on the visibility icon beside the name of the sender to hide the sender.
You can either retain or remove the hidden senders from the sender drop-down using the visibility icon beside '+ Add New Sender'.
Message Templates
Approved Templates
The MessageBird approved WhatsApp templates can be directed obtained within the application.
Click on 'WhatsApp Templates' to access the approved WhatsApp Templates.
Select the template to be inserted.
Enter the values for the variables within the template adjacent to the respective placeholder.
Create Templates
Select '+ Add New Template' from the Insert Template drop-down.
Enter the name of the template.
Enter the content within the template.
Include emojis and attachments within the template if required.
Edit Template
Click on the edit icon beside the name of the template.
Make the changes required.
Save the edited message template.
Delete Template
Click on the delete icon beside the name of the template to delete the message template.
