It helps to automatically trace calls, emails and synchronize them with tasks. Twilio provides cloud - based communications via API. Twilio Messaging uses its API to allow users to send and receive SMS and MMS. Hence Twilio and Pipedrive are integrated to make customer communication more easier and faster. Communication channels

The communication channels that can be used with this Pipedrive integration is SMS channel and WhatsApp channel.

SMS Channel

For using twilio SMS channel, a twilio number has to be purchased. It is a two - way communication which is used for both sending and receiving SMS from clients. The cost for the SMS would be per message cost. The process of purchasing a Twilio number for SMS channel can be found here.

WhatsApp Channel

For enabling Twilio WhatsApp Channel, there is a process of signing up a request to access the channel. Twilio approved templates are required inorder to initiate a conversation with your clients. The process of the same can be found here. The two types of messages available with this channel is template message and session message.

Application Installation

Step 1: Go to Pipedrive marketplace. In the marketplace, search for the application and Click Install now to install the app.

Step 2: By agreeing to the terms and conditions, click Allow and install.

Step 3: Sign in to Ulgebra to continue. You can either sign in with google or sign in with your email.

Step 4: Authorize your Twilio account. For authorizing your Twilio account, you need your Twilio credentials.

Step 5: Get your Twilio Account SID and Twilio Auth Token from Twilio console. You can get your twilio credentials from https://console.twilio.com. For authorizing your Twilio account, enter your Twilio credentials you got from the console and click Authorise now.

Step 6: Your integration status will be enabled now.

How to integrate your Twilio phone number with Pipedrive?

From the Twilio for Pipedrive settings page, Click Add number-->Add Senders in Twilio-->Add Senders-->Continue-->Select the check box and finally Add phone number. Refresh the settings page and your Twilio number will be added now.

Thus, your installation process is over and now you are ready to send messages to your clients.

Working

1) Send Twilio Message to contacts


Step 1: Click any one of your contacts-->Click three dots in top right corner and then click Send Twilio Message.

Step 2: Select From number, To number and type the message. For initiating the conversation, copy the message from the Twilio approved template and paste it in the message box. After that, click Send message.

Now, your message will be sent to your customer via the twilio phone number.

2) Sending Twilio Messages from the list view


Step 1: Send messages by selecting two or more contacts and repeat the same steps as above. Select the required contacts and then click Send Twilio Message. For initiating conversation, copy the Twilio-approved template message and paste in the message box to send messages.

Now, by selecting required number of contacts, messages are sent to your customers.

How to view message history?

You can find your Twilio message history as notes inside each contact.

[Note: If you didn't receive the incoming messages inside Pipedrive, check whether you find the incoming message inside Twilio logs at the link https://console.twilio.com/us1/monitor/logs/sms. If you receive it inside Twilio, then check with the number format of the incoming message received inside Pipedrive and check for any new contact created containing the incoming messages added as notes.]
