Pre - requisites for app installation

  • Should have Zendesk Sell account

  • Should have WhatsApp Web connected

Note: The number format should be as countrycode followed by number. Eg: 911234567890 (No spaces and can be with or without + symbol)

Step 1: Install the extension from Zendesk Marketplace

1) Send WhatsApp messages to Zendesk deals

2) Send WhatsApp messages to Zendesk leads

3) Send WhatsApp messages to Zendesk contacts

Application Installation(Zendesk Sell Inside WhatsApp web)

Step 1: Install the Zendesk Sell Inside WhatsApp Web chrome extension. After adding the chrome extension, refresh your WhatsApp Web and check the interface in the tab. Enter your Zendesk Sell access token and complete the configuration. Click Get here option to fetch the access token.

Step 2: Login to your Zendesk Sell account and click Add Access Token option to create a new access token.

Step 3: Enter the token description and click Save so that a new token will be generated.

Step 4: Copy the new generated token and paste the same in the Zendesk Sell Inside WhatsApp Web interface and save it.

Application working (Zendesk Sell Inside WhatsApp web)

1) View Zendesk Sell users inside WhatsApp Web

If you click any of the client's WhatsApp chat, and if the client is in your Zendesk Sell, you can view all the details associated with that particular client.

If the person is available as a lead in Zendesk Sell, then the details can be viewed under "Lead" indicated as 1 lead found.

2) Add new Zendesk Sell lead or contact from WhatsApp Web

If a person is not available in your Zendesk Sell as a lead or contact, you will be notified as "User doesn't exits". To add a person as a lead from WhatsApp Web then click person's chat --> Leads --> Enter all the details --> Create Zendesk Lead. Now the person will be added as a Zendesk Sell lead to your account.

To add a person as a contact from WhatsApp Web then click person's chat --> Contacts --> Enter all the details --> Create Zendesk Contact. Now the person will be added as a Zendesk Sell contact to your account.

Once a person has been added as a lead or contact, you will get notified as "Created successfully."

In this way, you can either create a new lead or contact from WhatsApp Web itself. Hence, this feature helps in easier and instant lead or contact creation.

3) Add notes to either leads or contacts and also view older notes

To add a new note to a lead/contact from WhatsApp Web, click Notes --> Add Note --> Type the content of the notes in the text box provided --> Save Note. Now, your new note will be saved.

Once a new note has been created and saved, you will be notified as "New notes created".

If you have any old notes associated with a lead or contact, then you can view them by clicking the "Notes" option.

4) Re-direct to Zendesk Sell page containing the details of the client directly from WhatsApp Web

To view the client's details in the Zendesk Sell account or to direct to Zendesk Sell, just click Zendesk Sell option from the interface.

5) View all leads or contacts associated with a single WhatsApp number

If more than one lead or contact is associated with the same number, then the number of lead or contacts available will be shown and the details of the same can also be viewed from the WhatsApp Web itself. For example: If a single number has two contacts in Zendesk Sell, then it will be shown as two contacts. You can view the details of the contact 1 first.

After contact 1 details, you can also view the contact 2 details.

Thus, this feature helps in tracking multiple contacts/leads associated with a single number easily without any time consumption.

6) Search for any of the Zendesk fields from WhatsApp Web

You can search for any of the Zendesk fields using the Search option available in the interface.

7) Create new lead or contact for existing Zendesk Sell user

For creating a new lead or contact for an existing user, then click the three dots at the top right corner -->Click Create New contact or Create New Lead option --> Enter all the required details --> Click Create Zendesk Contact or Create Zendesk Lead option.

Now, a new lead or contact will be created for an existing user and will get notified as "Created successfully".
