Pre-requisites
Must be a user of Zoho CRM
Must have a Burst SMS account
Installation
Visit the Zoho Marketplace where you can find the extension Burst SMS Integration for Zoho CRM.
Install the extension.
Agree to the Terms of Service.
Click on 'Continue'.
Select the Zoho CRM users for whom the integration is to be installed.
Click on Confirm.
Access the settings page of the application.
Select the DC of the Zoho account.
Click on 'Authorize Now'.
Click on 'Accept' to complete Zoho CRM authorization.
Enter the Burst SMS API Key and API Secret.
Authorize Burst SMS.
Burst SMS has been integrated to your Zoho CRM account.
Applications
Message Contacts
Go to any Zoho CRM Lead, Contact, Deal & Account.
From the drop-down on the right, select 'Send Message - Burst SMS'.
From the Choose Sender drop-down, select the Burst SMS sender.
You can also include additional contacts using the 'Add Recipients' option.
Select the country code and enter the contact number.
Click on 'Add'.
Select any Zoho CRM filter to add contacts of a particular category.
Search for any existing contact to add a specific contact.
Enter a default country code and select the condition for the application of the same.
The settings available for default country code are as follows:
do not add country code
The default country code can be ignored using this option and can be used if all the contacts in your CRM contain a country code.
add for all phone numbers
In case the contact numbers in your CRM do not contain a country code, you can use this option to add the country code to all the phone numbers.
add if phone number starts with 0
In case some of saved contact numbers begin with 0, you can use this option to add the default country code to such numbers alone
add if phone number not starts with country code
Using the option the default country code would be added to contact numbers that do not contain a country code alone. In case the number contains a country code, the default country code will be ignored.
Enter the message or insert a message template.
Send the message to the Zoho CRM contact using Burst SMS.
Bulk Messages
Go to the Leads, Contacts, Deals or Accounts module of Zoho CRM.
Select the required contacts.
From the drop-down on top, select 'Send Bulk Message - Burst SMS'.
Select the SMS sender to send the bulk message from.
Include multiple contacts using 'Add Recipients'.
You can add contact numbers, search for a specific contact or add contacts pertaining to a Zoho CRM filter.
Enter the message to be sent to insert a message template.
Send the bulk message to Zoho CRM contacts using Burst SMS.
Automated Messages
Go to the Zoho CRM settings page.
Select 'Workflow Rules' under automation.
Click on 'Create Rule'.
Select the module for which the workflow is to be applied.
Enter the name of the workflow rule.
Click on 'Next'.
Select the conditions for the execution of the workflow.
Select 'Webhook' from the Instant Actions drop-down.
In order to obtain the webhook details, go to any contact within the module for which the workflow is created.
Access the application.
Click on 'Get Workflow Code'.
Here you can obtain the required details.
Enter the name of the Webhook.
Select the method as 'POST'.
Copy the Webhook URL and paste it adjacent to URL to notify.
Under Body, select the Type as 'Raw'.
Select the Format as 'JSON'.
Copy the workflow code and paste it in the space provided.
Adjacent to 'to', erase the value available and enter '#'.
Select the phone field of the contact to which the message is to be sent.
Erase the value adjacent to 'recordId'.
Insert the contact id field.
Enter the default country code to be added to contact numbers that do not contain a country code.
Under Preview URL, refresh the URL.
Click on 'Save and Associate'.
Save the workflow.
Extension Settings
On the Settings page of Burst SMS for Zoho CRM, you can view the general features, admin settings and advanced settings of the integration.
Burst SMS Tab
Select 'Open in New Tab'.
You can now access the extension at all times in a separate tab.
User Management
The Zoho CRM admin can enable multiple users to use a common Burst SMS account.
Select 'Manage App Users'.
You can now view the list of Zoho CRM users within the organization.
Click on 'Add' to allow the user to use your Burst SMS account.
Click on 'Remove' to disable the feature for the user.
Also, Add all and Remove all users from this feature if required.
Once a Zoho CRM user is added, they can view the invite sent by the admin.
Accept the invite from the admin.
Select the admin account to authorize Burst SMS.
Application Analytics
Select 'App Usage Analytics'.
Here you can view the analytics of the usage of Burst SMS for Zoho CRM.
Reset Integration
Select 'Reset App Configurations'.
Enter 'confirm' within the space provided.
Complete app reset.
All the date of the application has now been deleted.
SMS Senders
Add SMS Sender
From the Choose Sender drop-down, select '+Add New Sender'.
Select the SMS channel.
Enter the sender id as per Burst SMS.
Enter the display name of the sender.
Save the new SMS sender.
Default Sender
Click on the pin icon adjacent to the name of the sender.
This sender would be selected by default while sending messages.
Hide Sender
Click on the hide icon beside the name of the sender to hide the Burst SMS sender.
Click on the visibility icon beside '+Add New Sender' to view or hide all the hidden SMS senders from the list of Burst SMS senders.
Delete Sender
Click on the delete icon beside the name of the sender to delete the sender.
Message Templates
Create Template
From the Templates drop-down, select '+Add New Template'.
Enter the name and content within the template.
Save the message template.
Edit Template
Click on the edit icon beside the name of the template.
Make the changes within the template.
Save the edited message template.
Delete Template
Click on the delete icon beside the name of the template to delete the message template.
