Installation & Setup
Visit the Zendesk Marketplace.
Here you can find the extension Vonage for Zendesk Support.
Click on Install.
Select the Zendesk account and click on Install.
Install the extension within Zendesk.
Click on the Vonage icon on the navigation bar.
Sign in to Ulgebra using Zendesk Support email id.
Enter the Zendesk Support domain.
Authorize Zendesk Support.
Enter the Vonage account credentials.
Authorize the Vonage account.
Vonage for Zendesk Support has been setup.
Extension Applications
Vonage SMS to Customers
Access the extension under the Apps Section.
Select your Vonage sender.
Enter the message or insert a template.
Send the Vonage SMS.
Reply to Tickets
Go to any Zendesk Support Ticket.
Under the Apps section, access the Vonage SMS extension.
Select the Twilio sender.
Enter a message or insert a template.
Send the Vonage SMS to the associated Zendesk Customer.
Send Vonage Message from Dashboard
Access the Vonage Dashboard from the navigation panel.
Select the Vonage SMS Sender.
Click on 'Add Recipients'.
Select the country code and enter the contact number.
Click on 'Add'.
Similarly, multiple contacts can be added to send message.
Enter a default country code if required.
Select the settings for the default country code.
The conditions available are as follows:
do not add country code
The default country code can be ignored using this option and can be used if all the contacts in Zendesk Support contain a country code.
add for all phone numbers
In case the contact numbers in Zendesk Support do not contain a country code, you can use this option to add the country code to all the phone numbers.
add if phone number starts with 0
In case some of saved contact numbers begin with 0, you can use this option to add the default country code to such numbers alone
add if phone number not starts with country code
Using the option the default country code would be added to contact numbers that do not contain a country code alone. In case the number contains a country code, the default country code will be ignored.
Enter the message or insert a template.
Include placeholders and emojis if required.
Send the Vonage bulk SMS.
Instant Messaging
Click on the Vonage icon available on the top panel of Zendesk Support.
You can send instant Vonage SMS from anywhere within Zendesk Support.
Select the Vonage SMS Sender.
Click on 'Add Recipients' to add the required contact numbers.
Enter the message or insert a template.
Send your Vonage SMS.
Manage Vonage Users
Within the extension interface, click on your Ulgebra profile.
Select Manage App Users.
You can now view the list of Zendesk Support Users.
Add the users who are to use your authorized Vonage account.
You can Remove users when required.
You can also Add all or Remove all users.
Vonage Tab
Under your Ulgebra profile, click on 'Open in New Tab'.
You would now be redirected to a new tab containing the extension.
This way you can access the extension in a separate tab whenever required.
Reset Application
Click on 'Reset App Configuration'.
Enter 'confirm'.
Click on 'Reset'.
All the history of the extension would now be deleted and the application reset.
Vonage SMS Sender
Add Sender
From the 'Choose Sender' drop-down, click on '+ Add New Sender'.
Select the channel type as SMS.
Enter the Vonage Sender Id.
Enter the display name of the sender.
Click on 'Save Sender'.
Default Vonage Sender
Click on the pin icon adjacent to the name of the sender.
This sender would now be selected by default while sending messages.
Template Messages
Create Template
Click on 'Insert Template'.
Select '+ Add New Template'.
Enter the name of the template and the message within the template.
Include placeholders and emojis if required.
Click on 'Save Template'.
Edit Template
Click on the edit icon adjacent to the name of the template.
Make the required changes.
Click on 'Save Template'.
Delete Template
Click on the delete icon adjacent to the name of the template.
The template would now be deleted.
