Vonage provides communication API for communicating with clients through different means of communication channels which includes SMS, MMS, Social chat apps and etc. Hence, Vonage SMS for Freshsales has been developed by Ulgebra to make digital communication easier and faster without any interruption and delay.

Application Installation

Step 1: Go to Freshsales Marketplace and search for the application Vonage SMS for Freshsales. Click Install for installing the application.

Step 2: You will be redirected to extension settings page. Enter your Vonage account credentials and Freshsales account credentials for integrating the application.

Step 3: Get your Vonage API key from the Your applications section in the Vonage account. Link the social channels using which you want to connect with your clients. You can view all your social channels under Link social channels section.

Step 4: Connect your Vonage SMS channel to send SMS to your clients. You can view your Vonage number/numbers under Link numbers section. If you don't have a number, click Buy number to purchase a number.

Step 5: Once you have entered your credentials and made all the necessary setup as mentioned above, click Install to install the application in your Freshsales account.

This is the installation of the application, Vonage SMS for Freshsales.

Application Working

1) Send Single SMS to Freshsales contact

Step 1: Go to any of the Freshsales contact. Under Integrations, you will be able to see the Vonage SMS option. Click Send SMS to send single text message to the client.

Step 2: You can select the mobile field of the contact. Enter the text message you want to send. Inserting any user fields/contact fields option can be used if needed. After filling all the necessary details, click Send for sending the SMS. The message history can be viewed as notes inside that particular contact.

2) Send Single SMS to Freshsales account

Follow the same procedure as mentioned above for sending Vonage SMS to Freshsales account. The message history will be saved as notes inside particular Freshsales account.

3) Send SMS to multiple Freshsales accounts and contacts

Go to any of the contacts/accounts in Freshsales and click Send SMS under Vonage SMS Integration. Add the To numbers by clicking Add number option and the text message you want to send. Click Send to send messages to multiple clients.

How to send instant SMS from dashboard?

Click the Vonage icon found in the bottom at the left panel. Add the To numbers by clicking Add number option and the text message you want to send. Click Send to send the messages to the clients.
